Everyone that comes in for a rhinoplasty usually wants a nose that looks smaller but that’s not always the best thing for them. What you want is a nose that looks better and a nose that looks natural. There are essentially two different kinds of tummy tucks which are termed abdominoplasty, and the first is a mini abdominoplasty and that is an operation that involves contouring of the lower abdomen. Many women will have had children and they have a lot of stretch in their lower abdomen, and by simply taking out the extra skin in the lower abdomen and then minimizing the scar so it lies right above the pubic hairline will allow the patient to have an excellent outcome, and then that’s often combined with liposuction of the abdomen. So you can really create a waistline and then give them a nice flat tummy from the mini abdominoplasty.

Well let me say first that I love liposuction because I love art, I love sculpture, and liposuction truly is sculpting the body. And the result is immediate, so it’s very satisfying. There are so many health benefits from breast reduction, in fact most patients when they have a breast reduction and they see their result and they feel how light they are now with the smaller breasts they say, why didn’t I do this years ago? And a lot of times it does take a while to make that decision. But what leads them to the office is the symptoms that they have. You know, the back pain, the neck pain, the shoulder grooving from the weight of the breasts, the rashes that they suffer from the breasts being enlarged. And so again as I discussed with breast lift, this operation is designed in such a way as to minimize the scars and to hide the scars within natural shadows of the breast itself.

I think breast augmentation is an amazing operation because it produces an immediate result, however that result is going to be seen. And so in my opinion and I think in most women’s opinion they don’t want that result to be seen coming at them before you see the person. In other words you don’t want to see the breasts before you see the person. Most women these days want breasts that look natural, they want a return of a shape that many of them once had but things have changed in terms of what’s happened to their body as a result of pregnancy or perhaps weight gain and weight loss. And so they’re seeking a breast and I want to produce a breast that looks full and has cleavage, has a nice outer shape to it in terms of the fold of the breast as it meets the arm or the outer chest region. And then also that it has fullness on top but isn’t popping out. And there are various techniques that I use to accomplish this end result.

And then it gives an opportunity for us to communicate, see if the patient likes that kind of outcome, see if they accept the change, and then ultimately they have a better idea as to whether or not they want to go through with this surgery.
