What is SculpSure™?

Many of our patients who are trying to achieve a slimmer, more fit-looking silhouette work hard to get their bodies into the best shape they can be. With that in mind, there are some areas of the body, particularly around the hips and abdomen, where excess fat accumulation proves resistant to traditional means of weight loss. Fortunately, there are advanced procedures available that can reduce these isolated pockets of fat without the need for surgery – and Dr. Christine Petti will be the first in the South Bay to offer the latest treatment that can do just that!

SculpSure™ by CynoSure® is a non-surgical body contouring technique designed to permanently eliminate excess fat. This procedure is FDA-approved to target unwanted fat on the hips and abdomen. SculpSure™ uses light-based technology to address the areas of concern in a procedure that can be completed in as little as 25 minutes. The treatment works by focusing thermal energy on stubborn, excess fat cells, ultimately targeting them for destruction. Compared to similar body contouring procedures such as CoolSculpting®, SculpSure™ does not involve any suction, so some patients find the procedure to be more comfortable. Once the treatment is complete, the targeted fat cells are gradually filtered from the body through your own natural metabolic processes.

Plus, the SculpSure™ procedure is designed to avoid harming the healthy tissues surrounding the target areas, and it typically requires zero downtime. In fact, most of our patients return to their normal daily routines immediately after their SculpSure™ treatment. Within six weeks of your procedure, you should begin to notice the benefits; however, it may take twelve weeks or more to see the final results as your body continues to metabolize and remove the targeted fat cells. Many patients have seen a 24 percent fat reduction in the targeted areas.

SculpSure™ offers a new option for patients to attain beautiful new body contours in a more convenient way!
